for the love of the crowd and three cheers from everyone

(carin wester dress, carven collar, hot topic necklace, miu miu shoes)

I've been revisiting some classic "goth" music lately. Albums like Disintegration by The Cure, Denali's self-titled debut record, and Mazzy Star's She Hangs Brightly. After being on a po-mo noise/avant-Gregorian chant revivalist bender (AKA, listening to a lot of No Not Fun releases...), the heartwarming songs that I credit as my introduction to music feel so appropriate right now. It also inspired this spooky throwback getup, to the quintessential days of "goth" as I imagine them to be. A giant pleated dress and giant pleated collar gives me a very homey/homely feeling that listening to The Cure also imbues within me.

But do not be fooled by the front of this asexual tent dress! It comes with a party in the back!
